ITB-07-05-06 - Wide Area Network (WAN) Communications Services

Summary of Specifications:
The City of Miami Beach is soliciting responses from reputable carriers to provide Wide Area Network (WAN) Communication Services for the City’s communications infrastructure. All respondents to this ITB should focus on and define proven methods that will be used to provide WAN Communication Services to the City as further described in this ITB. The goal of this ITB is to select a communication provider that can provide one of the following options: 1. Ensures the continuity of City’s current WAN Communication Services and offers enhancements to meet future communication needs. 2. Provide a fiber optic solution that will function as the City’s WAN Communication Services and offers enhancements to meet future communication needs. Dark Fiber is the City’s preferred choice, but other media will be considered.
