Subsequent to FEMA policy RP 9580.201, all contracts must be guaranteed by an adequate payment and performance bond. We will require a $2M Payment and Performance Bond within 24 hours of activation of the contract or notice to proceed, whichever occurs first. If FEMA determines that the bonding level is inadequate upon review following a disaster, then they can require that the applicant conform to the more strict requirements outlined in 44 CFR (requires 100% bonding for Performance and Payment Bonds.
