Summary of Specifications:
Abandon in place/backfill 450 feet of 18” VCP pipe with flowable fill. Install 30" RCP pipe parallel to original pipe location. Remove damaged/outdated brick storm structure at downstream end of pipe, replace with larger structure. Due to necessary excavation, remove/replace asphalt roadway, base, subgrade, driveways, curb/gutter, short sidewalk pieces. Install necessary erosion control features, place truck measured borrow within pipe trenches, compact in lifts of 12" to 100% density of standard proctor, cover and protect existing storm water inlets, install 12” stabilized subgrade, 6" limestone base, asphalt pavement. Mill/overlay asphalt outside limits of proposed excavation, place sod for erosion control/soil stabilization. Lump sum maintenance of traffic item includes all signs, devices, other costs of maintaining traffic during construction. Specifications and contract documents (Project Manual) are open to public inspection in the Public Library located at 239 N. Spring Street, and maybe viewed and purchased for $50.00 (non-refundable) from the Office of the City Engineer, 222 West Main St., 5th Floor, Pensacola, Florida. Registered plan holders who attend the pre-bid conference will be notified of bid or project addenda.
