WELCOME STRUCTURE PROJECT
The City of Pensacola is extending an invitation to bid on the construction of The Pensacola Welcome Structure and associated site work. The basis of the design includes a fabricated acrylic sign with noncorrosive metal framework. The sign is attached to a fluted cast-in-pace concrete column with steel reinforcing, embedded a minimum of 14’-0” below grade. A reinforced concrete pile supported pier works in conjunction with the main fluted column for lateral support. Power is provided for sign lighting and for structure LED lighting set within flutes of the column. A separate bid alternate one to include cast-in-place curved landscape walls A, B, and C, and their associated lighting. Bid alternate two to include all plantings represented on the landscape plan. The scope of this project is installation of a neon "Welcome to Pensacola" sign on Parcel # Work includes the demolition of existing seating, portions of walls, finishes, casework components, mechanical, and electrical items. The contractor shall bid this project according to the constraints of the general notes, specifications, and construction plans. A site visit to determine any unforeseen issues is strongly recommended.

No night work shall be permitted on this project.
The contractor’s work shall include the necessary coordination of all existing utilities with respective owners and the timely address of any potential conflicts with required work.
Care shall be exercised to not cause any damage to adjacent infrastructure left in-place during reconstruction. Any such damage shall be the responsibility of the contractor.
All work shall be in accordance with the standards and specifications of the City of Pensacola.
