The contractor shall furnish all services, labor, materials, equipment, tools, insurance, permits, and fees (if any) necessary to perform the scope of services.
I. Kiwanis Park Perimeter Fence: Remove and dispose of existing perimeter fencing located along “L”, “K”, Intendencia, and Romana Streets.
II. Dog Park Fence: Install a 6-foot black vinyl-clad chain link fence with a maintenance double gate in both sections. Bottom of fence shall be 4 inches below the surface.
1. Fencing should follow the same specifications as the perimeter fence.
2. Total Area: 130’x 80’ with an 80’ fence divider at the 50’ mark dividing the large and small dog park area.
3. Two sections
a. Small Dog Park area: 50’ x 80’ with 10’ x 10’ self-closing double entry gate system.
b. Large Dog Park area: 80’x 80’ feet with 10’x10’ self-closing double entry gate system.
4. Dog Park Entrances
a. Large/Small Dog Park Entrances - install self-closing double entry gate system with a 10’ x 10’ transition space for each entrance.
b. Latched spring or magnetic closure on entry and exit gates.
5. Maintenance Gate
a. Two maintenance gates on the west side of the dog park, one for the small dog side and one for the large dog side.
III. Dog Park Sidewalk
1. 10’ x 10’ poured concrete in the entrance areas of both the small and large dog parks.
2. 6’ wide ADA walking path throughout the large dog area in the shape of a dog bone. Must be 20 feet from the fence on all sides with two adjoining 6’ wide ADA sidewalks from the dog entrance and from the pavilion to the dog bone sidewalk.
o 3,000 PSI concrete with fiber 1 ½ lbs. PaCY sidewalk.
o 6’ wide and 4” thick
3. 6’ wide ADA walk from the small dog park entrance to the pavilion.
IV. Removal and Disposal of Pre-existing Equipment
1. Remove and dispose of 9 baseball area light poles and 3 basketball area light poles.
2. Remove and dispose of benches around the playground and park area.
3. Install four (4) benches along the large playground structure. City will provide.
4. Install two (2) picnic tables under the two (2) dog park pavilions. City will provide.
5. Install one (1) grill. City will provide.
6. Install one (1) park sign and (1) park rule sign. City will provide.
V. Site Amenities
1. Site amenities to include but not limited to park benches, picnic tables, water fountains, washing stations, shade structure, pet waste stations, agility courses, etc.
2. All site amenities shall be installed in accordance with manufacturers’ specifications and further secured with hurricane approved connections and fittings at no additional cost to City. City will provide all site amenities.
3. Large Dog Park Amenities: Hoop Jump, Rover Jump Over, Stepping Paws, Dog Walk, Fire Hydrant, Pet Waste Station, three (3) in-ground benches, two (2) trash cans, and UltraSite Accessible Fido and Me Fountain.
4. Small Dog Park Amenities: Small Dog Hoop Jump, Paws table/Grooming Table, Doggie Crawl, King of the Hill, Weave Posts, Pet Waste Station, three (3) in-ground benches, two (2) trash cans and UltraSite Accessible Fido and Me Fountain.
5. Install Shade Structure in accordance with manufactures specifications, ensuring concrete footer meets wind requirement.
VI. Contractor is responsible for all permits and surveys required to complete the project.
