This project is bounded to the west by Tippin Avenue and to the east by the perimeter fence of the Pensacola International Airport.
The Pensacola International Airport recently acquired this property for the future construction of Titan Element II Hangars 3 & 4. This project consists of the efforts necessary to clear the site, demolish any impediments to future construction, and generally prepare the site for future civil site work. Specifically, all buildings, asphalt, curb and gutter, concrete flatwork, trees, power poles, and aerial lines, and all subgrade utilities are to be removed within the limits of the project. Then, all depressions, pre-existing ponds, and any mounds shall be graded flat and a consistent slope established across the entire site. Finally, the entire site shall be thoroughly covered with seed and mulch per the specifications. Seed shall be irrigated until complete site stabilization has been achieved. Erosion control measures are to remain in place after this project is completed.
Prior to project commencement, Gopher Tortoise burrows need to be located and the tortoises relocated. The burrows were marked two years ago, but things have likely changed. All permits required for any portion of this project, including gopher tortoise efforts, are to be the responsibility of the contractor to secure.
