The Emerald Coast Utilities Authority (ECUA) operates the Bayou Marcus Water Reclamation Facility (BMWRF) which utilizes Supplemental Carbon as a source for denitrification to meet effluent permit requirements. Previous awards have been based on field trials and were not formally bid. Over the past year, the ECUA has used approximately 65,000 gallons (705,000 lbs.) of supplemental carbon but this will vary and the VENDOR will be required to deliver at the bid rate more or less of the product as operations requires.
It is the intent of the ECUA to enter into a contract with a qualified vendor for the purchase of Supplemental Carbon. Delivery will be on a call-out basis as needed by ECUA. All deliveries must be made within ten (10) calendar days of the call to the BMWRF at 3050 Fayal Drive, Pensacola, FL 32526. Product will be delivered via tanker truck and pumped into ECUA’s existing storage facilities, which is a 12,000 gallon tank fitted with a 2” male camlock fitting. All hoses and materials for off-load will be provided by the VENDOR.
