Summary of Specifications:
This bid request covers requirements of all school cafeterias, for the general foods items listed, for the period beginning June 1, 2005 and ending November 30, 2005. Prices, terms, and conditions of this agreement cover any purchases made for the products listed in this bid for the entire term of this agreement. The quantities listed herein and delivery dates are the best estimate of the District based on prior and projected usage. The District will make every attempt to adhere as closely as possible to the estimated dates and quantities, however, the District reserves the right to adjust shipment dates, reduce number of shipments and/or purchase additional quantities at the bid price at any time during the bid period (June 1, 2005 – November 30, 2005). By signing this agreement you are agreeing to honor your bid price for the entire term of the agreement.
If bidding on brand and/or number OTHER THAN AS SPECIFIED, SAMPLES ARE REQUIRED. Please make a notation in the comments section if you are sending a sample. The same procedures as outlined in Section V (Order Placement and Delivery Procedures) should be followed for samples. The District has a policy of pre-approving brands prior to bid posting, therefore, sending samples for alternate products at bid time does not guarantee that your sample can be reviewed prior to bid award. Sample deadline is Tuesday, April 12, 2005, 2:00 p.m. Samples should be clearly labeled “SAMPLE FOR BID NUMBER 052603.” If you plan to send samples, contact the Escambia County School District Purchasing Office by email (mvannostrand@escambia.k12.fl.us or by fax at (850) 469-6271. A form will be returned to you by email or fax. This form should be completed prior to samples being sent.
