RFI-102001 - Payroll Card Services

Summary of Specifications:
The School Board of Escambia County, Florida takes this opportunity to announce it is seeking information concerning potential qualified companies to provide the Payroll Card services referenced in Section III SPECIFICATIONS below. We are seeking to establish a Payroll Card program in an effort to provide school district employees with another option to receiving their pay, in addition to Direct Deposit (ACH). Our hope is to minimize check cashing fees and enhance security for the employees who do not have an existing bank account. In addition, we anticipate that this program will reduce costs to the Escambia County School District by reducing the number of checks issued and the costs associated with that function. 

The School Board of Escambia County, Florida may use responses to this RFI to decide whether direct negotiation to contract or a more formal Request for Proposals would be the appropriate means of procurement. Companies are encouraged to give complete qualifications for completing the description of service required and a tentative priced proposal to be used as a basis of negotiations if deemed appropriate.
