Summary of Specifications:
Individual projects to be included in the Scope of Work will be miscellaneous in scope, of varied size and complexity as required by Hernando County and in conformance with the Consultant’s Competitive Negotiation Act, Section 287.55 of the Florida State Statutes. The County reserves the right to award this contract to one or more Consultants. These services may be associated with Local Agency Program (LAP) projects, grant and/or cooperative funding construction projects in Hernando County. Services include but are not limited to: review of soil survey maps; exploration and evaluation of general subsurface conditions; subsurface borings and classifications of soils; measurement of groundwater levels; muck probing; laboratory testing of soils and construction materials; engineering analysis of soil conditions; slope stability, analyses, seepage analysis, and foundation/geotechnical design; recommendation for civil design, site preparation and earthwork; laboratory testing of groundwater samples; groundwater and surface water testing; ground penetrating radar surveys for the purpose of identifying karst-related subsurface conditions, underground storage tanks, pipes or buried debris; and all additional geotechnical related services as required by the project.
