ITB-TB-13-C149/TKB - Snow Memorial Highway Resurfacing

Summary of Specifications:
The project calls for the resurfacing of the existing asphalt roadway from US 41 to the Hernando/ Citrus County line. The majority of the existing asphalt roadway shall be milled to an average depth of one inch and shall be re-pave in two lifts of asphalt per plans and specifications. A 750’ section of the roadway shall be excavated to remove substandard base material and replaced with clean fill and crushed concrete before receiving the two layers of asphalt. The project also calls for the extension of culverts and the installation of end treatments which are identified on the plans. Temporary pavement markings shall be installed after each layer of asphalt installation and be followed with thermoplastic markings on cured asphalt after county approval. It shall be the Vendor/Contractor’s responsibility to provide a Maintenance of Traffic (MOT) plan and a chart depicting the project schedule at the pre-construction meeting. Sodding, including watering of the road shoulders is required on all disturbed areas or as directed by the County.
