RFP-2023-008 - RFP-2023-008 Architectural Drawings and Project Consulting

Lutheran Services Florida (LSF) is seeking proposals from qualified professionals to provide architectural design, project consulting, and related services for our Lippman Youth Shelter located at 221 Northwest 43rd Court Oakland Park, FL 33309.
LSF is a designated Children in Need of Services/Families in Need of Services (CINS/FINS) program provider, through a Florida Network for Youth and Family Services (FNYFS) contract. CINS/FINS includes the Lippman Youth Shelter (LYS), a 20-bed residential homeless youth shelter in Broward County, Florida. The shelter, operating since 1984, serves as a safe-haven for at-risk runaway homeless youth at no cost to the youth or their families. The facility is 5,552 square feet.
Our objective is to benefit low-income people by working with youth and families in crisis, offering shelter and a safe haven to youth, along with an array of high-quality case management, counseling, life skills, bullying prevention, and other services that provide opportunities for youth to reconnect with their families or become self-sufficient. Our goal is to continue providing these services to approximately 135 youth annually for up to 21 days at a time, through a broad range of the aforementioned supportive services and other essential needs to help keep homeless youth out of the juvenile justice and child welfare systems while also helping for better transition to safe and appropriate living arrangements where they can become independent, contributing members of society.
LSF, through funding from Broward County, is seeking to improve services within the shelter through renovation and upgrades within and outside the facility, as well as operational upgrades that will have a significant and positive impact on the living areas where our youth congregate and ultimately on the youth themselves.
