Summary of Specifications:
The purpose of this bid is to establish a twelve (12) month contract for the purchase of Telecommunication Services by the Okaloosa County School District (OCSD). This contract will be in effect from July 1, 2011 through June 30, 2012.
Vendor must furnish all labor, equipment, and materials, and perform all operations necessary to install Telecommunications equipment in designated areas in accordance with the conditions and specifications included in this bid. The foregoing is intended only to establish the broad scope of work and does not, in any way, limit the responsibility of the bidder, who shall perform all operations necessary to meet the requirements of the job.
The Okaloosa County School District would like to receive bids from telecommunications carriers which can provide high-speed, non wireless telecommunications connectivity including internet service. The primary goal is to allow the OCSD to leverage existing telecommunications equipment; have 7x24 Network monitoring, end- to-end scalability, secure network transport for student information, and local support. Responses will also be considered based on the ability to add additional links and the corresponding cost. This Request for Bid (RFB) is issued to invite vendors to submit bids. Issuance of this RFB in no way constitutes a commitment by the OCSD to select a vendor and/or award a contract. The OCSD reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids submitted. Acceptance of any bid with contractual terms is dependent upon Okaloosa County School Board approval, e-rate funding, and appropriation of funds by the OCSD. The Okaloosa County School District may select multiple providers for this telecommunications connectivity.
