Summary of Specifications:
The School District of Okaloosa County (District) is accepting bid proposals to provide all labor, material, and equipment required for the procurement, delivery and installation of one (1) new walk-in freezer, and the renovation of the side by side walk-in freezer/cooler combination unit, converting the existing freezer to a cooler, removing existing door and installing new retro fit door, and installing a new refrigeration system in the existing cooler at Choctawhatchee High School, located at 110 Racetrack Road, Fort Walton Beach, FL 32547. The bidder shall adhere to all requirements, specifications and special conditions stated in the bid package. The bidder shall be qualified and insured to conduct the work as a Certified or Registered General or Building Contractor and subcontract with a Certified or Registered Mechanical Contractor or themselves hold a Certified or Registered Mechanical Contractors license in accordance with the Florida state statue. Any questions related to these requirements will need to be addressed prior to the question deadline for this bid as stated below. Condensing units must be tied down to supporting stands and the supporting stands must be tied to the ground using two (2) three (3) ft. galvanized anchors in order to meet wind load of 140 mph. The District will be responsible for disconnect and power to feed unit and the final electrical hookup of equipment. Work shall not commence prior to Friday, June 7, 2013.
