Summary of Specifications:
Design and furnish all materials necessary to construct a bridge with precast or pre-stressed concrete. The total length of the crossing is 34’ long with a total deck width of 24’6”. Items to be included with the bid shall be piling, abutment panels, abutment caps, intermediate caps, wing walls, wing wall caps, bridge decking, bridge deck barrier rails, angle iron 2” x 2” x ¼”, angle iron shall be 20’ in length and assume that 10 pieces will be required, guard rail and all hardware necessary to construct the bridge. Piling supplied shall be in 50’ lengths. For bidding purposes it shall be assumed that 23 pieces of 50’ length piling is required. Should additional piling be required to satisfy loading requirements specified in the bridge design drawings it will be purchased separately from this bid.
Must provide signed and sealed design drawings. Drawings shall specify pile capacity requirements to be achieved during construction. The design load shall be based on the AASHTO LRFD standards, HL-93. Must be able to provide calculations to how load rating is achieved.
All materials shall be delivered to the site and coordinated with the Okaloosa County Bridge Construction crew. Materials delivered damaged or improperly fabricated shall be removed from the site and replaced with proper materials at no additional cost to the County.
