RFB-28-11 - Single Surface (Chip Seal) Trmt of Approx. 116,151 Sq Yds of Road

Summary of Specifications:
1.0 SCOPE OF WORK 

1.1 The primary work consists of furnishing and applying a single application of bituminous surface treatment and the maintenance of traffic in accordance with these specifications and in substantial conformance with the limits established by Okaloosa County Public Works. 

1.2 The contractor will supply all material including but not limited to aggregate and emulsion. The contractor will also be responsible for providing all labor, equipment, fuel, traffic control, placement of signs, residence notification, sweeping, construction and application procedures required for surface treatments. 

1.3 The area to be treated consists of approximately 116,151 square yards of single chip seal and fog seal in the Yellow Bluff Sub-Division and Bob Brooks Road in west-central Okaloosa County and approximately 8,889 square yards of double chip treatment on Kingston Road in central Okaloosa County as shown on the list below. Azalea Avenue in the Crestview area will add approximately 178 square yards of single chip seal and fog seal. The exact limits of treatment will be specified by Okaloosa County Public Works.
