NOTICE TO BIDDERS
WEST HANGAR AREA PUBLIC PARKING AND ECA TERMINAL DEVELOPMENT at BOB SIKES AIRPORT OKALOOSA COUNTY, FLORIDA
Notice is hereby given that the Board of County Commissioners of Okaloosa County will receive sealed bids until 3:00 pm, Thursday, May 30, 2013 (local time) for the West Hangar Area Public Parking and ECA Terminal Development project – Bob Sikes Airport, at which time and place all bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. Bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope clearly marked “BID ENCLOSED – WEST HANGAR AREA PUBLIC PARKING AND ECA TERMINAL DEVELOPMENT, BOB SIKES AIRPORT.”
At 3:00 pm, Thursday, May 30, 2013 (local time), the bids will be opened and read aloud. All bids must be in sealed envelopes reflecting on the outside thereof the bidder’s name and WEST HANGAR AREA PUBLIC PARKING AND ECA TERMINAL DEVELOPMENT, BOB SIKES AIRPORT to be opened at 3:00 pm, Thursday, May 30, 2013 (local time). The Board of County Commissioners will consider all bids properly submitted at its scheduled Bid Opening in the Conference & Training Room #305 located at 302 N. Wilson St, Crestview, FL 32536. Bids may be submitted in the Conference & Training Room #305 prior to Bid Opening or delivered to the Clerk of Circuit Court, 302 N. Wilson St., #203, Crestview, FL 32536.
The project consists of all labor, materials, machinery, tools, equipment and other means of construction necessary and incidental to the completion of the work shown on the plans and described in these specifications including, but not necessarily limited to the following: Construction of a proposed asphalt parking lot, concrete sidewalks and concrete curbs, pavement markings, parking lot lighting improvements, drainage inlet and piping, and 5,837 sf ECA terminal building.
Beginning on Monday, April 29, 2013, drawings, specifications, and project documents may be examined at the Office of the Okaloosa County Purchasing Department, 602-C North Pearl St., Crestview, Florida 32536. Beginning on Monday, April 29, 2013, digital copies of the above documents may be obtained from the offices of AVCON, INC., 320 Bayshore Drive, #A, Niceville, Florida, 32578, (850) 678-0050 for $50 dollars per bid set. Hard copies of the above documents may be provided at an additional cost.
Funding for this project is being provided by the Florida Department of Transportation and Okaloosa County and will be subject to all applicable requirements and grant assurances of these agencies.
A Pre Bid Conference and site visit will be conducted at the Bob Sikes Airport Fire Station, 5549 John Givens Rd., Crestview, FL 32539 on Thursday, May 16, 2013 at 10:00 am (local time). Questions relating to the Project Documents will be answered at that time. Attendance by prospective prime contractors is strongly recommended.
