Summary of Specifications:
1.6 Because of proposed development in eastern Pasco County over the next several years, the County expects the quantity of solid waste delivered to the EPTS to increase substantially. Accordingly, the County intends to make improvements at the facility to increase throughput capacity and improve working conditions for County employees. Planned improvements include, but will not necessarily be limited to, the following: • Expanding the size and throughput capacity of the existing Transfer Building by adding twice the tipping floor space currently available; • Enclosing the existing maintenance bays to provide protection from the weather; • Addition of staff lunch room / break room facilities at the existing Administration Building either as a building addition or as a standalone facility nearby; • Access road, stormwater and other on-site infrastructure improvements needed to support the above improvements, including modification or relocation of the existing wells and pump house, if necessary.
