Single drum roller chopping of sand pine scrub on approximately 511 acres of the Seminole State Forest in Lake County, Florida. Over-story vegetation to be chopped includes scrub oaks, juvenile sand pine, and rusty lyonia, six inches (6”) or less in diameter at breast height, and understory vegetation of scrub oaks, palmetto, gallberry, and fetter bush averaging between two (2’) to four (4’) feet tall. This chopping is intended to prepare sites for burning in the late fall or early winter of 2024-2025. The contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, tools, transportation, supplies, and supervision required to single drum roller chop the estimated acres within Seminole State Forest. No materials, labor, or equipment will be furnished by the Florida Forest Service (FFS).
