Specifications include, but are not limited to: The scope of the Contract shall include providing, at no cost to UF and UF Health, all vending machines, supplies, maintenance, labor, commodities, marketing, management, and operation of the automated vending snack machines to provide snack food and certain beverage services including traditional snacks, wrapped sandwiches, fresh fruit, healthy snack options, 100% milk, chocolate milk, hot beverages, and ice cream products as approved by UF and UF Health. It should also be noted that UF and UF Health have exclusive and non-exclusive contracts and mandatory requirements in place, which could have an impact on the Snack Vending Service Agreement (i.e., Pepsi Contract, Chartwells Higher Ed/Florida Fresh Dining, University Athletic Association, Sodexo Live, UF Health Compass Group Contract). These agreements may limit the operation of automated vending machines during athletic sporting events when contracted food service provider is present as well as product options where the UF and/or UF Health have entered into an exclusive agreement. a) Service Expectations: The Provider shall locate and equip maintenance staff to assure a prompt response to service requests. Our expectation is for prompt response to out of stock and/or out of service machines by next business day at maximum. The Provider shall develop and follow a comprehensive preventative maintenance plan to ensure proper machine operations, sanitation, and minimum out-of-service/ improper machine operations. The Provider shall develop, in cooperation with UF and UF Health, protocols and procedures to promptly handle issues including out of date, poor quality, no product vend, credit card/Gator 1 Card acceptance failure, machine malfunction, and other vending issues. UF and UF Health provide pest control for normal operations. Supplemental pest control may be required in certain machines, such as hot drink. We expect the selected Provider, as part of their service program, to supplement pest control with additional services as needed to address the supplemental pest control needs.
