A. Unless otherwise stipulated, the Contractor shall provide and pay for all bonds, insurance, materials, labor, tools, equipment, light, power, water, transportation and other facilities necessary for the execution and completion of the work. B. The Contractor shall furnish free of charge all labor, stakes, surveys, batter boards for structures, grade lines and other materials and supplies and shall set construction stakes and batter boards for establishing lines, position of structure, slopes and other controlling points necessary for the proper prosecution of the construction work. The Engineer shall check the stakes, as set, before construction is commenced. These stakes 52 | P a g e and marks shall constitute the field control by and in accord with which the Contractor shall govern and execute the work. The Contractor shall be held responsible for the preservation of all stakes, marks, and, if for any reason, any of the stakes, marks or batter boards becomes destroyed or disturbed, they shall be immediately and accurately replaced by the Contractor.
