Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. UCF home football games shall include 7 home regular season games, 1 possible championship play-off game and 1 spring game. (The Spring game will be a smaller version of our regular “Home” games with a crowd attendance of 10,000 or less patrons.) 2. Contractor will clean the University of Central Florida main campus for all home football games. Contractor will set up, police during the game, pick up materials, change out landfill and recycling liners, take down, and restore the campus to its pre-Game Day condition. Contractor will maintain and clean all areas (including landscape and hardscape, garages, parking lots and roadways, building patios, walkways) on the main campus, surrounding subdivision entrances off the north end of campus, as well as limited areas in Research Park. Contractor shall have, and be able to verify, sufficient resources to provide these services and shall be prepared to maintain all operations described herein for 16-24 hours or until the job is completed. 3. All work described herein will be completed before the Contractor ceases operations. 4. Contractor shall maintain an adequate inventory of equipment and materials such as liners, rubber bands and designated trash and recycling event cardboard containers. 5. All recycling and landfill materials collected in or on all areas on Game Day are property of UCF. 6. Contractor and its employees are expected to model professional behavior and to follow all UCF safety rules and regulations. Use of alcoholic beverages or other intoxicants, inappropriate behavior, misconduct, and/or any rude act or actions towards any person attending a UCF function, is not permitted. 7. Contractor and its employees must wear approved uniforms while performing services under this contract. 8. Contractor must participate and promote the university’s recycling program and make every effort to separate materials into the proper disposal container. i. Black bags = landfill materials and go into landfill roll offs. ii. Blue bags = recycling materials and go into the recycling roll offs. Materials must be emptied from blue liners into recycling roll off and blue liners must be held back and placed into landfill roll off. iii. Landfill and recyclables left on the ground by Game Day fans will be picked up and sorted into landfill bags and recycling bags. iv. No recycling items will be placed in landfill bags by Contractor’s employees; and no landfill will be placed into recycling bags. v. Contractor personnel will have proper training by a UCF Recycling Services supervisor to identify the proper recycling material as stated in the University recycling program; and no landfill materials will be placed into recycling bags. vi. All landfill and recycling materials, whether on the ground or in containers, is the property of UCF and should be disposed in proper containers on campus. vii. Throughout the operational shifts, the Contractor will consistently collect plastic bottles, glass bottles, aluminum cans, cardboard, and all other plastic recyclables #1-7 (this includes plastic drinking cups) from all designated areas for deposit in staged recycling roll-off containers. viii. Unopened beverage containers will be recycled. 9. Before the initial Game Day, Contractor, Contractor’s supervisors, representatives from Facilities & Safety (Landscape & Natural Resources (LNR) and Facilities Operations (FO) Recycling Services) and Parking Services shall perform a thorough site visit to acclimate the Contractor and its staff to the expectations, service levels, and requirements set forth herein. 10. A pregame inspection of the Mall area by representatives from LNR and the Contractor is necessary before each Game Day set-up begins to confirm the Contractor starts with a clean Mall. 11. Set-up on the day of each of the scheduled game, as follows: a. All materials will be staged in containers that are locked and pre-staged before Game Day in designated parking lots. i. Contractor will pick up keys to the locked truck boxes at the Facilities & Safety Work Control Center and must be able to operate safely the tailgate on the recycling trucks. ii. Gold Zone Contractor vehicle passes will be picked up at the Facilities & Safety Work Control Center. b. Assemble 500 – 600 landfill boxes (200-250 in Gold Zone, 100-150 in Memory Mall, and 100-200 in Red/Blue Zones), with landfill liners and rubber bands, and place on campus. c. Set out 450 recycling totes (300 in Memory Mall, and 150 in Red/Blue Zones). d. Set up landfill boxes and recycling containers near elevators and stairwells in Parking Garages (Parking Services will determine garage location and number of boxes to be placed for each game). e. Set out 10 coal containers provided by UCF. f. Set up for the Gold Zone shall be completed by 8:00am on Game Day, regardless of the kick off time – the Gold Zone tailgating around the E lots and the Stadium is open at 8:00am and shall be set up prior to 8:00am without exception. g. Set up landfill boxes (600 with black liners), recycling totes (blue plastic containers with blue liners), and coal (hot ash) containers in tailgating areas as determined by LNR and Parking Services, priority list is as follows: i. 1st priority: Gold Zone, E lots and surrounding Stadium landscape and hardscape areas. ii. 2nd priority: Memory Mall, Gold Zone parking lots and garages, east and west plaza drives, 2 hours before tailgating begins. iii. 3rd priority: Lake Claire Park. iv. 4th priority: Remaining areas on campus as determined by LNR and Parking Services. h. The other zones on campus (Red and Blue Zones) tailgating start time shall vary depending on kickoff time (information will be provided at least two weeks prior to the game). The remaining areas on campus must be completed (2) two hours prior to the start of tailgating, without exception. i. Garages will have recycling boxes and landfill boxes set up near stairwells and elevators as determined by Parking Services. j. Maps of all landfill and recycling roll offs for materials disposal will be provided. k. The University is permitted to increase or decrease the number of landfill and recycling containers as needed, without additional charge.
