1. All on-site pest control personnel shall be trained and certified applicators. 2. The contractor, before commencing work, shall provide photocopies to the University Representative of its business Pest Control License from the FDACS and of the Pesticide Applicant Certificates in General Household Pest Control for every contractor employee who will be performing on-site services under this contract. These licenses and certifications must be maintained throughout the life of this contract. See Sections 482.071 and 482.111, Florida Statutes. 3. Pesticide application shall be according to need rather than by schedule. Pesticides shall be used only if adequate control cannot be achieved with non-chemical methods. 4. Pesticide use shall consist of the least hazardous material, most precise application technique, and maximum quantity of material necessary to achieve control. 5. The contractor shall provide labels and material safety data sheets (MSDS) for each and every pesticide and/or chemical used on the University. Copies will be maintained in the site logbook. All such pesticides and/or chemicals shall be approved by the University Representative. 6. Pesticides shall neither be stored on site nor applied when employees are present. 7. Pesticides shall never be applied when facility HVAC systems are OFF. 8. Pesticides applied to the air shall never be used for routine treatment inside facilities. Pesticides shall be applied only as containerized or crack and crevice treatments in which the applied treatment is never visible.
