The scope of work may include but is not limited to, the replacement of cabinets and countertops at Chaires Elementary School. The general demolition of furniture, equipment, plumbing, electrical, flooring; ceiling; paint; and classroom finishes are not part of this ITB. The Awarded Contractor’s work shall meet all requirements specified in Exhibit B, Construction and Specification Documents of this ITB. a. The Awarded Contractor shall: 1. Coordinate all work with the designated LCS Project Manager. 2. Provide new laminate cabinets and countertops (some with 10” backsplashes) as shown in the drawings and specifications in Exhibit B. All cabinets can be made of melamine, but sink cabinets will have matching color plywood bottoms. The plywood bottom should match the interior cabinet color. 3. Laminate colors for cabinets and countertops will be chosen at a later date, existing colors are no longer available, they will be standard grade finish, standard grade thickness on countertops, cabinets can be vertical grade. 4. Use a 4” satin nickel pull on all cabinet doors and drawers. 5. Blum 75M1550 or 75M 1580 clip on adjustable hinges with 2 piece wing mounting plate will be used on all cabinet hinges. 6. All cabinets will have plywood toe kicks that will be covered with vinyl base molding applied by LCS. 7. The sink cutouts are to be included in the scope of work, a sink will be provided to use as a template for the cutouts by the District. The sinks and faucets will be provided and installed by the District. 8. Locate anchors in the partition wall studs and anchor all casework to the existing walls. 9. Drawings for each room are provided for bidding purposes, the Awarded Contractor is responsible for verifying measurements. 10. Shop drawings are not necessary for the bidding, but the Awarded Contractor will need to provide drawings. b. The Awarded Contractor shall furnish at their expense all supervision, equipment, tools, machinery, labor, materials transportation, and other items and services necessary to fully accomplish the projects as assigned per the terms, conditions, and specifications of this ITB. c. All work shall be accomplished strictly per specifications set forth herein and all applicable state, county, and local laws, codes, and ordinances.
