Deliver parenting education programs to the male and female incarcerated population at the Escambia County Jail. This program may be focused on the individual inmate and/or may be completed in a group setting. The targeted inmate may be identified by the Dependency process with having an open case plan where parenting is a case plan task. This inmate may be required to have individual sessions in which services will be rendered. Other targeted inmates will include, but may not be limited to parents of children between ages of 0‐17. The inmates for the group meetings will have demonstrated good behavior and will be ‘Approved’ by the Escambia County Corrections Classification Department. The inmate participant will be involved in a curriculum that will increase his/her knowledge of being a positive role model and an active and willing participant in co‐parenting; understanding a child’s development, how to effectively discipline a child, dealing with a behaviorally challenged child. The Agency will maintain attendance records and will provide completion certificates and a letter of completion for the inmate participant.
