The City of Dunedin is soliciting proposals from qualified insurance brokerage firms (the “Consultant”) to provide employee benefits brokerage and consulting services for the City of Dunedin (the “City”). The City has approximately 330 benefit eligible employees, with 304 employees and 10 retirees enrolled in the City’s self-funded medical plans. The insurance plan year coincides with the City’s fiscal year – Oct 1 through Sept 30. The City’s benefit offerings include medical with prescription coverage, dental, vision, basic life and AD&D, an Employee Assistance Plan (EAP), supplemental life, HRA/HSA, and short and long term disability. There are also a number of voluntary benefits, including pet insurance and supplemental insurance through Aflac and Colonial Life.
