Specifications include, but are not limited to: The awarded Proposer will be expected to provide and manage food truck services when requested by the City of New Smyrna Beach. The Proposer and the City will work in tandem to enhance events by providing such service at City events on an “as needed” basis, while also helping create new events that are food truck service focused. Responsibilities of the awarded Proposer includes, but not limited to: A. Scheduling food truck vendors for City sponsored events. The City shall have the discretion to choose the food types. B. Collect fees/payment from scheduled food truck vendors prior to start time of the scheduled events. C. Collect and maintain required documentation from food truck vendors for City approval for each event. The following is a list of City required documentation: State of Florida mobile food vendor license, ServeSafe manager certificate(s), commissary license, and a certificate of insurance listing the City as certificate holder and additionally insured. Documentation must be submitted to the City designated event organizer at least seven (7) days prior to each event. D. Ensuring food truck vendors are approved prior to event date(s). E. Rotate food truck vendors so that the lineup of the vendors is not the same for each event. F. Ensure that there are no repeat of food types, within reason, per event. The City shall have the discretion to choose the food types. G. Work with the City Fire Marshal to obtain required inspection(s). (Permit to be obtained by the City). H. Create plaques for food truck challenge event. Plaques shall be created for each placement (Best Entrée, Best Entrée Runner Up, Best Dessert, Best Dessert Runner Up), organize judging/food submission process. I. Organize all city food truck events regardless of the day, time and or location. J. The City prefers that the food truck vendors be registered to conduct business within Volusia County.
