Specifications include, but are not limited to: The City of Sunrise is soliciting bids for hauling residual municipal wastewater treatment plant liquid biosolids from the Southwest Wastewater Treatment Facility (WWTF) to the Sawgrass WWTF on a regular schedule as needed. Contractors shall submit pricing as specified on the Bid Sheet. Biosolids to be hauled are undigested non-thickened liquid with solids content range of 1.0 to 2.0% produced via municipal wastewater secondary treatment plants. All trucks must have the capacity to haul 6,000 gallons of residual liquid biosolids. Hauling documentation shall meet EPA and Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) requirements and shall be provided to the City of Sunrise Utilities Department monthly. City facilities are equipped with biosolids pumps which can be used to transfer residuals into the Contractor’s hauling trucks. The awarded Contractor shall provide 4" diameter reinforced transfer hoses with female fittings at both ends to be utilized at the facilities as listed below: Sawgrass Facility two (2) hoses 25' in length Southwest Facility one (1) hose 25' in length Contractor shall pick up and haul truckloads of undigested liquid residuals from the Southwest WWTF and transfer the liquid residuals to the Sawgrass WWTF Sludge Holding Tanks.
