Specifications include, but are not limited to: The County is seeking a qualified firm to trim mangroves, hardwood trees and exotic vegetation along the navigable channels of the Harbour Heights Balboa, DeSoto, and San Salvador Waterways as specified on the aerial map provided by the County. The Contractor shall be a professional mangrove trimmer as described in Florida State Statute 403.9329, have thorough knowledge of laws, rules and codes dealing with mangrove and exotic trimming/alteration. The Contractor shall have thorough knowledge of regulatory permitting, and secure all necessary permits associated with this type of work, have a working knowledge of mangroves and exotic vegetation, including identification, trimming techniques, and proper disposal methods. Awarded Contractor shall provide proof of certification in accordance with Florida State Statute 403.9329 as specified.
