• General Conditions: The following general conditions will apply to Innerarity Point Park. Work outside the scope must be approved by County staff with provided quote. • Trash Removal Prior to Mowing. Contractor will be responsible for policing the area to be mowed and remove any trash to prevent the cutting of trash as part of the mowing process and prevent further problems in the parks or grounds area. • Cleanup. The Contractor is responsible for the cleanup of any trash cut by mowers as well as grass clippings, cleaning of sidewalks, street areas, curb and gutter areas and other non-turf areas within the park. Cleaning methods suitable for clippings are blowers, brooms, rakes, as deemed appropriate by the Contractor. • Damage Repair. The Contractor will be responsible for repairing, at Contractors expense, any damage to any of the existing structures and facilities determined to be caused by the Contractor in the process of mowing the grounds, this includes sprinkler heads. Turf Areas • Mowing, edging, string trimming, litter control, and debris removal in turf areas each visit. • Cutting heights of turf will be left at approximately 3.5” after each cut. • Turf areas will be raked as needed to remove leaves or other sedentary debris in cold months to remove excess settling material. Bed Areas • Includes litter control, lawn debris. • All hard areas (sidewalks, thoroughfares) will be blown to keep buildup of lawn clippings and general dust and debris on property. • Tree rings, annual beds, turf, and other mulched areas will be kept free of litter and debris each visit. • Crack and crevice weeds will be sprayed each visit to present an overall neat appearance of the property and transition areas. Tree Maintenance • Tree limbs which hang in walkways and accesses up to 8’ will be pruned during maintenance visits as necessary and removed from property. Shrubs/Ornamental • Perform routine shaping of shrubs as needed during scheduled visits. • Flowering shrubs will be pruned after their bloom time in addition to recurring shaping. • Grasses will be cut back in winter to remove dead/brown growth. • Groundcovers will be kept free of debris and weedy growth. Plant material will be kept within bedlines. • Cord grasses will be cut back in February. Turf Spray Program • 4 Fertilizations annually (March, October, July, TBD) • 4 Pre-emergent herbicide applications annually (Jan/Feb, April, July, October) • 4 Post-emergent herbicide treatments annually (April, July, August, October) • 2 ant bait applications (March and October) • Inspect treatments – Each visit inspect turf for insects and treat, as necessary. • Fungicide treatments – As needed bases
