Please note: This is a Sole Source Notification. Zoll X series defibrillators/monitors (including AED's and accessories) are only manufactured and distributed by the manufacturer. Tampa Fire Rescue currently only uses Zoll on all ALS engines, trucks, and rescues. Pads and cables are not compatible with other brands. The purchase of any other type of device would cause a significant delay in the management of critically ill patients while transferring patient care from first-arriving units to the transport units. It would be cost prohibited to replace the monitors on all ALS units and retrain all paramedics on the use of a different manufactured device. The prospective bidder shall be an authorized manufacturer’s distributor/dealer who can quote and provide the content, materials, and instruction, as described in this Intent to Sole Source to the City
