This is a 185-acre clear cut timber sale, which is comprised of natural mixed pine and xeric hardwoods. All wetlands have been painted or flagged; firebreaks and marked trees are collectively used as boundary markers. Boundary painted trees are not included in the sale. No preliminary cruise numbers will be published, therefore all bidders are encouraged to perform a timber evaluation prior to bidding. This area will be further developed for training purposes therefore, the more harvested timber, the better. 5.2 Location of Sale: The sale area is in Sections 19, 20, 29, and 30 of Township 7 South, Range 23 East, located within the South Post of Camp Blanding. This area is north of the intersection of SE State Road 100 and State Road 21, just northeast of Keystone Airpark. Within Camp Blanding, Impact Road and Treat Road are the main routes closest to the site. Alligator Creek South is close to the border along the northeast and eastern sides of the sale area. Refer to MPMG-3 Timber Sale Map. 5.3 Scope of Work, Logging Requirements, and Specifications: Quick removal of the timber is vital to this contract. Please refer to Section 5.5 Period of Performance for more information. The Installation Forester reserves the right to restrict access to the facility when weather, training, and other necessary conditions arise. Any waste including garbage will be disposed of properly and never left on site. Forest roads must be always kept in good condition including interior roads. The site will be restored to its complete prior condition before the operation ends, including roads and any other resources pertaining to CBJTC.
