Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, Florida Forest Service is seeking sealed bids for the sale of timber. The total acreage for this timber sale is 113 acres. This sale is a clearcut of 36 acres of 35-year-old natural slash pine (stand 1), clearcut of 36 acres of 27-year-old planted loblolly pine (stand 2), and a 4th row thin with selection on 30 acres of 32-year-old planted slash pine (stand 3). Additionally, this sale includes a 50' wide buffer along the forest's eastern boundary totaling 11 acres on Cary State Forest in Duval County, Florida (see attached maps). Timber to be removed includes all merchantable pine trees in stands 1, 2, and the 50' buffer, and every fourth row and select trees in the remaining rows in stand 3 in order to reach 65-70 square feet of residual basal area per acre.
