Specifications include, but are not limited to: The City of Palm Bay is requesting proposals from qualified vendors for Recreational Canoe, Kayak and Paddleboard Rentals and Related Services to the public. The City is interested in rentals as well as tours, lessons and camps. The City has multiple launch locations for these watercraft, with direct access to the Turkey Creek. At the option of the City, specific services pertaining to this contract may be amended. No commitments for future purchases for this or any other project are implied and responding proposers should not infer any such intentions by the City. Rentals – This includes renting a canoe/kayak/paddleboard to the public. Rentals could be for any duration of time in one day. For example, one-hour rentals, two-hour rentals, half-day rentals, and/or all-day rentals. People will launch from one of the three launch locations and paddle around the paddle trails in the area at their own leisure and guidance. Tours – This includes a guided tour, usually with a group of people, that is set to depart and return at a specific time. Ideally this would include historical, environmental, cultural, and natural resources learning opportunities. Camps – This could include group paddle sessions as part of other camps. For example, a local adventure camp may want to take campers out for a paddle day on the river. This would not necessarily be a regularly scheduled event for the general public, but as a partnership with local agencies and organizations to provide a Palm Bay paddle experience to campers. PLEASE NOTE: The City of Palm Bay is NOT requiring one contractor to provide all three paddle devices (canoe, kayak, and paddleboard) for all four service types (rentals, tours, lessons, and camps). Please propose what paddle devices you would like to offer and what service type complements your business model.
