Amtrak is seeking a contractor to restore the exterior and interior of Jacksonville Station in Florida, bringing it to a state of good repair through the restoration, repair, and replacement of deteriorated components as needed. The project includes, but is not limited to, replacing the existing built-up roofing system with an SBS roofing system throughout, along with fully adhered walkway pads. The reroofing work will include new sheet metal flashing, prefinished aluminum roof edge trim, a new roof hatch, and overflow drains. Exterior work includes painting the existing metal standing seam roof, installing new downspouts, addressing damaged masonry, replacing sealants and gaskets around windows and doors, installing new hollow metal doors and frames, and applying security films to existing storefronts. Interior improvements include installing new ceiling tiles and grids, replacing existing lighting with LED fixtures, installing new ductwork and air terminals, upgrading the ticket counter with bullet-resistant glazing and two-way pass-through speakers, refreshing restrooms and replacing plumbing fixtures, and making other necessary interior upgrades. Site and civil work will include resurfacing the parking lot, patching pavement, and performing a mill and overlay. Additionally, the project involves televising, cleaning, and lining gravity sanitary sewer pipes using cured-in-place methods.
