Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, Florida Forest Service is seeking sealed bids for the sale of timber. This sale is a fourth-row operator select thinning of 263 acres of 20-year-old slash pine on Tiger Bay State Forest in Volusia County, Florida (see attached maps). Timber to be removed includes every fourth row and select trees in the remaining rows to reach the target basal area of 80 square feet per acre. The select trees will be diseased, damaged, forked, suppressed, or trees approved by the forester in charge to meet the target basal area. The boundaries will be roads, wetlands, obvious timber type changes, state forest boundaries, and fire lines. There are no painted sale boundaries. The estimated volume to be remove is 9,609 tons of pulpwood and better. This will be a twelve (12) month contract.
