Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Proposer shall be solely responsible for the complete management and operations of a farmer’s market at CRP; including the recruitment and assignment of qualified vendors, necessary staffing of event for successful operations, directing visitors, ensuring vendors comply with a park and/or event rules and regulations, Ensure all vendors have secured and maintain all necessary licenses, registrations, certifications and permits required by local, State or Federal law and/or regulatory agency. All vendors must apply for a local Business Tax Receipt (BTR) at Business Tax Receipts (BTR) | Palmetto Bay, FL (palmettobay-fl.gov). All vending units must be self-contained as no electricity or water is available and/or provided. Ensure all vendors are well behaved and polite to park patrons and fellow vendors; as well as dressed tastefully/appropriately. In keeping with a wholesome, family-oriented event, use of profanity and the serving and/or possession of alcoholic beverages is prohibited. Beverage cups and straws shall be one hundred percent (100%) recyclable; no glass, Styrofoam or plastic shall be offered. The vendors must completely clean respective area as assigned, leaving no debris and remove all from the park and dispose off site. The Proposer must ensure that this occurs and shall follow up in the event vendors fail to do so. This includes any cooking oils, charcoals, briquettes and other disposables, etc. The vendors must clean all equipment off site and not at the park. The Proposer and vendors responsible for all signage, including parking, which must be in compliance with Village’s sign ordinance. The Village reserves the right to review and approve all signage. In the event of inclement weather, the Proposer is responsible to cancel in advance or during such weather, including directions to vendors and/or patrons. All Proposers and vendors must carry general liability insurance to include property damage, personal injury and products liability, all must have active automobile insurance for auto/truck and towing trailer/equipment. All aforementioned policies must name the Village’s as the additional insured. The Village reserves the right to pre-screen any and all vendors prior to assignment for the Proposer, as well as respective equipment use by vendors, and may also make periodic checks of same. The Proposer/vendor agrees to replace any equipment deemed to be unsafe or inappropriate for use. The Proposer may assign no more than the appropriate number of vendors as may be safely assigned within the designated area of the farmer’s market as depicted on the enclosed exhibit. The Proposer shall not allow for the blocking or interference with canoe launch access or designated canoe transport parking.
