All trees marked with blue paint at eye level are to be harvested. There are pre-merchantable trees marked with blue paint that must be cut to access merchantable harvest trees. These pre-merchantable trees must be harvested and may be mixed into pulpwood loads or left onsite. This is not a row thinning and care must be taken with the buncher and skidder to ensure all unmarked trees are to remain standing and unharmed. Logging debris is to be scattered back through the stand. The District Project Manager will routinely assess the timber harvest to ensure the objectives are being met.
