The City of Temple Terrace (City) requires a contractor led design-build team to provide the design and construction services for the Whiteway Utility Service Center (Project) located at 6009 Whiteway Drive, in accordance with §287.055, Florida Statutes. When complete, the hardened facility will serve as the administration building and temporary emergency operations center for the utility department. The existing Whiteway Utility Service Center was constructed in the 1970’s and has reached the end of its serviceable life. The demolition of the existing structure is not included in this contract. The objective of this Progressive Design-Build solicitation is to identify and seek a competitive qualified Design-Build Team (Contractor) to provide services to complete design, obtain permits, and construct the Whiteway Utility Service Center in accordance with the Florida Building Code and the City standards. The scope of the Project requires the selected Contractor to identify, propose, design, plan, permit, construct, and provide all related materials, labor, and services, including coordination with the City, its consultants, contractors, and all agencies having jurisdiction over the Project, to deliver all work necessary for the successful, cost-effective, operation of the Project. The documents provided should aid in fast-tracking the selected Contractor through the remainder of the design and into construction. The Project has a proposed budget of $7M, which is funded through the federal American Rescue Plan Act program, and the selected Contractor must comply with all the associated grant requirements and deadlines.
