Sealed unit price bids will be received by the City of Morrow not limited to for limited to grading, demolition of existing archways/pavement, construction of a covered amphitheater, electrical conduits, steel girders, dressing rooms, showers, mini kitchens, pavement, lighting, various amenities and landscape in accordance with the Contract Documents for the City of Morrow’s “AMPHITHEATER” project. Bidders must possess and mark the outside of sealed bids with a current Georgia Contractors License Number. **THIS BID IS PARTIALLY FUNDED WITH HUD FEDERAL GRANT MONIES AND ALL REQUIREMENTS RELATED TO THAT FUNDING WILL BE MET BY CONTRACTOR**
The City of Morrow hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, minority business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, sex, or national origin in consideration for an award.
Copies of the Contract Drawings, Documents and Technical Specifications are posted on Bidnet and additional information will be added until the complete plans are posted.
All questions pertaining to the requirements of the Contract Documents and Technical Specifications, either procedural or technical, shall be in writing and are to be submitted on Bidnet by 5:00 PM local time on Friday, October 6, 2023, Reference: “THE DISTRICT AMPHITHEATER.” Sealed Bids will be received on Bidnet until 3:00 PM local time, Monday, October 9th, 2023, and then publicly opened and read aloud in person or via Zoom on Bidnet.
No bid may be modified, withdrawn, or canceled for a period of sixty (60) days after the time designated for the receipt of Bids or until the Bidder is notified by the City whichever is sooner. The City reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bids and to waive irregularities, technicalities, and formalities.
Each bid shall be accompanied by a Bid Bond in an amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the total bid amount. The Bid Bond may be in the form of a bond issued by a surety acceptable to the City or a cashier’s check made payable to the City of Morrow, Georgia. The entire Bid Bond shall be forfeited to the City of Morrow, Georgia as liquidated damages if the bidder fails to execute the Contract and provide Performance and Payment Bonds within fifteen (15) days after being notified that the contractor has been awarded the Contract.
The successful bidder will be required to furnish a contract Performance Bond in the sum of one hundred percent (100%) of the total amount bid and provide insurance coverage as required in the Contract Documents.
