Specifications include, but are not limited to: Burke County plans to build a fiber-based 100/10Gbs broadband network with a minimum symmetrical 100Mbs/100Mbs Fiber-To-The-Premise (FTTP) access to all unserved locations in Burke County. The planned service area is the entirety of Burke County, GA with the exception of the City of Waynesboro and those areas which already have Broadband Service. The zip codes are 30830, 30815, 30434, 30805, 30816, 30456, 30441, 30442 & 30426. The census tracts are 9501, 9501.01, 9501.02, 9502, 9503, 9504, 9505, 9507, 9508 and 9509. The Burke County Broadband network will be a game-changer for the County and its residents. Burke County has made a three-year build-out commitment to the State of Georgia and is seeking Partner(s) to design, build, operate and support a rural broadband network.
