The successful supplier must ensure that transportation services are provided that comply with the Georgia Department of Human Services’ minimum service delivery requirements as specified in the DHS Transportation Manual, which shall be delineated in all transportation service agreements in Service Area 1-DHS regions 1,2,3,4,5,6,7 and Service Area 2-DHS regions 8,9,10,11,12 (see DHS map). The successful supplier must arrange for transportation for consumers who are located within the contracted Regions, to be transported to and/or from destinations that may be outside the contracted Region. Divisions and agencies served under this contract are the Division of Aging (DAS), the Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD), the Division of Child Support Services (DCSS), the Division of Family and Children Services (DFCS), and the Georgia Vocational Rehabilitation Agency (GVRA). The Department’s minimum standards are below: Administer, operate, expand, and maintain a coordinated transportation system for residents for the specified service area. The successful supplier must provide transportation services which meet the special needs of elderly and disabled persons in accordance with the Department's "State Management Plan and Administrative Application Package for Transportation for Elderly Persons and Persons with Disabilities," which is by reference made a part of this contract. The successful supplier shall provide to elderly and disabled persons transportation services which are coordinated with the transportation activities of other service agencies and organizations as intended by O.C.G.A. 37-2-9, by participating in Coordinated Systems. The successful supplier must maintain a current and active registration in the System for Award Management (SAM).
