The primary project scope involves HVAC and electrical upgrades at the Tifton Agricultural Lab, including the installation of a new chiller, boiler plant, and generators; as well as upgrades to the BSL3 lab. The mechanical scope of work for this project consists of, but is not necessarily limited to, the following: • Removal and disposal of the existing chiller, boiler, pumps, and fans. • Furnishing and installing one (1) new chiller with a minimum capacity of 400 tons; two (2) new 2500 MBH condensing boilers; two (2) new 310 GPM Heating Water Building loop; two (2) new 160 GPM boiler primary loop pumps; one (1) new 960 GPM Chiller primary loop pump. • Furnishing and installing all new HVAC piping within the boiler plant; 50 feet of underground piping to chiller yard. • Furnishing and installing two (2) new lab exhaust fans for BSL3 lab. • During normal business hours, the Owner will continue to occupy the building. • Construction activity in an occupied and active laboratory. The electrical scope of work for this project consists of, but is not limited to, the following: • Furnishing and installing a new generator as a backup for the HVAC Chillers. • Furnishing and installing a new generator as a backup for the building. • Providing electrical connections and electrical gear to support HVAC equipment changes and additions. The scope of work also involves other trades incidental to the project including, but not necessarily limited to, the following: • Water supply and plumbing drain modifications. • Removal, relocation, patching, and/or replacement of selected walls and doors. • Modification, removal, installation, and/or reinstallation of ceilings. • Miscellaneous interiors work.
