Gwinnett County is located in metropolitan Atlanta, Georgia, and has a land area of 437 square miles and a population of over 1 million in 2024. Gwinnett County Department of Fire and Emergency Services provides fire protection, rescue, advanced life support emergency medical services, and transport for the entire county. The department currently operates 31 Fire Stations. Gwinnett County currently has an authorized strength of 1,056 fire fighters, paramedics, and support staff. In 2023 the department responded to approximately 101,423 calls for service generating 198,370 unit responses and logged over 2.98 million miles on a fleet of 234 vehicles. It is the intent of this Request for Proposal (RFP) to describe the minimum requirements for Battery Operated Hydraulic Extrication Equipment and related components. Each proposer is requested to provide pricing on each option listed enabling Gwinnett County to select various offerings for evaluation purposes. All vendors should propose their highest quality and most technologically advanced tools that are engineered to at minimum ten (10) years without significant maintenance and/or loss of pressure.
