Contracting with a cardiology interpretation services vendor to provide after-hours and any emergent service coverage will allow increased access to cardiology services, decrease the Turn Around Time (TAT) for interpretations, and provide backup interpretive services in the case of EHMG provider unavailability.
Contractor shall provide interpretive diagnostic testing services for all cardiac diagnostic testing to include:
- EKG
- Remote/Event Monitors
- Echocardiograms
- Cardiac MRI
- Cardiac CTA
- Cardiac Nuclear Medicine Exams
- Treadmill Stress Tests
Contractor will meet the specified Turn Around Times (TATs) for the aforementioned procedures. Turnaround Times are as outlined below:
- Inpatient exams must be interpreted, signed and available in the EMR within 24 hours of completion of the exam.
- Outpatient exams must be interpreted, signed and available in the EMR within 48 hours of completion of the exam.
Contractor will be capable of support of the cardiology interpretation services across the following hours, days, and operational conditions.
A. Mondays through Fridays from 5:00 pm HST to 8:00 am HST.
B. Saturdays and Sundays from 8:00 am HST to 8:00 am HST.
C. Contractor should have the ability to provide 100% support of cardiac diagnostic testing interpretation services if staffing coverage issues arise within EHMG.
