Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. Provide 14-hour residential services in a staff secured facility that integrates the following: a. Assessment, evaluation, and screening to determine level of care, risk factors, and appropriateness of referral. b. Immediate program orientation and crisis intervention services. c. Ensure immediate primary needs are met (food, hygiene, safe shelter, etc.). d. Develop and implement a written transition plan for each youth in preparation for release from the program. 2. Case Management and Therapy Services a. Individualized case management and therapy (treatment, safety planning and support). b. Group therapy and opportunities to meet spiritual needs (nondenomination), including inclusion in peer groups that value and models prosocial behavior and academic success. c. Family Reunification – practice and promote positive communication and other skills that will enhance relationships with parents or guardians and peers. d. Social skills building curriculum and related activities, including pre- and post-skills assessment. e. Validated assessment of youth’s risks, needs, strengths, family functioning, educational/vocational level and aptitude, substance abuse, and peer relationships. f. Referral to appropriate community-based services and activities and collaboration and partnership with referring agencies, service providers and resources. 3. Life Skills and Extracurricular Activities a. Provide life skills, financial literacy, employment assistance, educational advancement opportunities (graduation requirements, credit recovery, etc.) b. Provide on-site educational services to assure DOE compliance, including credit recovery. c. Provide project based cultural programs that promote personal growth to strengthen cultural identify, knowledge, skills, decision making, and the ability to contribute to oneself, family and community. d. Develop and implement leisure time activities to promote healthy lifestyle development.
