Specifications include, but are not limited to: Furnish and pay for all materials, tools, equipment, labor and other incidental work to complete maintenance dredging of the entrance channel and basin at Mala Boat Ramp, Lahaina, Maui, Hawaii as required or called for; Work includes the installing of pollution controls, removing, transporting, dewatering, hauling, stockpiling, and disposal of dredged material. All work areas are shown on the plans. The dredged material will be transported by water and off loaded at the Mala Boat Ramp and may be transported to an offsite stockpiling area or disposal site. Dredge material will be removed using mechanical dredging techniques (i.e., a bargemounted excavator), loaded into trucks and hauled to a temporary stockpile area for dewatering/drying. Material will then be either reused as daily landfill cover or disposed at the Central Maui Landfill, based on analytical results of sediment testing summarized in this report as well as additional testing, as applicable.
