The Hawaii State Department of Education (Department), Hawaii District Office, requests community input to facilitate the Department’s planning activities and development of a Request for Proposals (RFP) for school psychology evaluation and intervention services to include a broad range of evaluations conducted by qualified school psychologists to identify and understand students' academic, social-emotional, and behavioral needs. The information received will assist the Department in preparing the release of one or more RFP in the immediate future. The Department will be seeking providers with the ability to conduct school psychology evaluation and intervention services for the Hawaii District Office. Qualified providers shall have the ability to: 1. Offer assessments that have valid and reliable measures; 2. Provide comprehensive evaluation (i.e. combination of standardized tests, clinical interviews, curriculum based measures, etc.); 3. Summarize findings in organized and accessible reports; 4. Offer assessments in-person or virtually with a proctor; 5. Attend Student Focused Team meetings to review data and help determine eligibility for Special Education Services; 6. Address academic achievement, cognitive abilities, social emotional functioning, and/or behavior concerns; and 7. Be culturally and linguistically appropriate to meet the needs of all students.
