The project scope involves the design-build of a multi-level parking structure sized to accommodate approximately five thousand two hundred (5,200) parking stalls, located near the intersection of Ualena Street and Paiea Street. The parking structure is intended to accommodate a combination of employee and public parking needs at the Daniel K. Inouye International Airport, with accommodations for solar panels and electric vehicle charging stations. Additional features of the parking structure will also include office spaces at select areas within the facility, elevators, life safety systems, telecommunication systems, lighting, a new shuttle bus station, roadway modifications, traffic signal improvements, signage, and landscaping. Work will also entail the demolition of existing building structures and other underground infrastructure. Hazardous material abatement is also anticipated, within the existing building structure and within the subsurface areas. The estimated construction cost is $350,000,000.00.
