RFP 22-456 - RFP 22-456: Classification Study

The City of Boise is seeking a qualified and experienced firm or consultant to evaluate the agency’s current job descriptions and develop a system of standardized job classifications. The City of Boise currently has approximately 1237 non-contract employees in 813 job descriptions, 480 of which are held by a single incumbent. This Classification Study will reduce the number of individual job descriptions and establish a manageable classification system for the Human Resources department to maintain independently.

The purpose of the Classification Study is to create consistency among job classifications across 13 departments, covering 18 job families, to ensure positions performing similar work at the same level are classified properly using standardized templates and naming conventions
